Video Plus Print offers a full range of LCD screen sizes and specifications for Video Brochures, Mailers, Boxes, and Packaging. Our screens are designed for clarity, durability, and optimal playback to bring your brand stories to life.

Q: What Video format do you require to produce a VPP product?
A: AVI (Xvid codec), MP4 (Mpeg 4 codec) would be ideal, however if you do have a video that is in another format, we can help you convert it to the correct specs.
A: 2.4” and 2.8” supports AMV video format or AVI format (MJPEG codec) that will require using our proprietary video converting software, all other screen sizes support general video format can be converted by any free video converting software.
Q: What aspect ratio should the video be supplied in?
A: Our 2.4” and 2.8” screen sizes support 4:3 aspect ratio. Screen sizes 3”, 4.3”, 5”, 7”, 9” and 10.1” support various forms of wide angle aspect ratios
Q: What is the resolution of your screens?
A: 2.4” and 2.8” support 320 x 240 resolution
A: 3.0” supports 400 x 240 resolution
A: 4.3” and 5.0” support 480 x 272 resolution
A: 5.0” also comes in a higher range which supports 854 x 480 resolution
A: 7.0”, 9.0” and 10.1” supports 1024 x 600 resolution
Q: What resolution does your processor chipset support?
A: 2.4” and 2.8” processor supports 320 x 240 resolution
A: 3.0” supports 400 x 240 resolution
A: 4.3” processor supports 480 x 272 resolution.
A: For the higher end product range we have processors that can be used for a 4.3”, 5.0”, 7.0”, 9.0”, 10.1” which supports 1280 x 720 resolution.
Q: What are the FPS required for your video screens?
A: 2.4” and 2.8” supports 21 FPS
A: 3.0”, 4.3”, 5.0”, 7.0”, 9.0”, 10.1” supports 25 FPS
Q: What bit rate should the video files be in?
A: 2.4” and 2.8” we recommend minimum 2000 kb/s
A: 3.0” we recommend minimum 1000 kb/s
A: 4.3” we recommend minimum 1000 kb/s (for processors that support 480×272 resolution)
A: 4.3”, 5.0”, 7.0”, 9.0”, 10.1” screen sizes, we recommend 2500 kb/s bit rate
Q: How long of a video can we store in a Video Plus Print product?
A: It is subject to the built in memory, usually our standard built in memory supports 20 minutes of video that are compressed using medium quality video specifications. Our minimum storage memory capacity is 5 minutes and maximum can be a few hours.
Q: Can you have more than one video?
A: Yes, depending on the length of the video you can have hours of video broken down into many small videos. For multiple video options we recommend having video control buttons
Q: Can we change the video files in the device?
A: Yes, our products are usually configured to support the end user to change or delete the video files in the device. However, if you want the video files to be locked, we can provide that option as well.
Q: How are screen sizes measured?
A: All screens are measured diagonally, from one corner to the opposite corner.

A: We provide a wide selection, including 2.4”, 2.8”, 3”, 4”, 4.3”, 4.5”, 5”, 7”, and 10” screens, with larger custom options available.
Q: What are the specs of the 2.4” and 2.8” screens?
A: These compact screens have a 4:3 aspect ratio with a resolution of 320 × 240 pixels.
Q: What resolution does the 3” screen provide?
A: The 3” screen has a 16:9 aspect ratio with a resolution of 640 × 360 pixels.
Q: What are the specifications of the 4.3” screen?
A: The 4.3” screen has a widescreen 16:9 ratio with a resolution of 800 × 480 pixels.

A: Both screens use a 16:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 800 × 480 pixels.

A: IPS screens deliver wide viewing angles and superior color accuracy, perfect for presentations viewed by multiple people.
Q: How does screen brightness affect battery performance?
A: Higher brightness improves visibility but reduces playback time. We can preset brightness levels or add buttons for adjustment.
Q: Can Video Plus Print screens display images or slideshows?
A: Yes. In addition to video, our screens can show still images or run slideshows, controlled by navigation buttons if requested.
Q: Can screens be placed vertically instead of horizontally?
A: Yes. Video Plus Print can install screens vertically, but video files must be encoded in portrait orientation.
Q: What’s the best video resolution for my chosen screen size?
A: For best results, video should match the native resolution of the screen. For example, a 7” screen should use 1024 × 600 encoding. We provide guidelines for every size.
Q: Can a static splash image appear before the video plays?
A: Yes. We can program a splash screen or logo image to display briefly before video playback begins.
Q: What happens if no video file is uploaded?
A: If powered on without content, the screen will display a “No File” message until video files are loaded.
Q: What is the typical lifespan of Video Plus Print screens?
A: Our LCD screens are designed to last thousands of hours. In most cases, battery wear occurs before screen failure.
Q: How durable are the screens used by Video Plus Print?
A: All our screens are tested for quality, ensuring they withstand normal handling and long-term usage in marketing campaigns.
Q: Can I upgrade to higher-resolution screens for special projects?
